Important VectorScribe, Phantasm CS and ColliderScribe updates

In between the major new product releases, Astute Graphics continues   to continually develop its existing products — both long-establishing   and recently released.

The following releases bring additional functionality (ColliderScribe), tweaks and important improved stability (VectorScribe and Phantasm CS). And they are all FREE to download today!

 

ColliderScribe version 1.1.0

  •  
  • Up and Down arrow keys change collision spacing while dragging –   step determined by Illustrator’s preference "Keyboard Increment” value
  •  
  • Corner point collisions now taken into account when self-colliding
  •  
  • Improved detection and snapping to collisions involving the endpoints of straight segments

VectorScribe version 1.8.1

  •  
  • Fixed crash when recording the changing of a Dynamic Corner type or creation of Dynamic Shape in an Action
  •  
  • Fixed indicating corner type in Actions panel
  •  
  • Fixed problem when playing back an action which changed the Dynamic   Corner type ("The object VectorScribe is not currently available.”)
  •  
  • Collaborated with Esko to resolve fatal clash with Esko Deskpack plugins for Illustrator CS6

Phantasm CS version 2.8.2

  •  
  • Fixed critical bug which could cause Illustrator to crash when using certain Filter and Effect tools
  •  
  • Minor user interface improvements for Illustrator CS6

Installing on Mac OS 10.5+

  •  
  • Quit Adobe Illustrator
  •  
  • Run the installer and follow the instructions
  •  
  • Start Illustrator

Installing on Windows XP/Vista/7/8

  •  
  • Quit Adobe Illustrator
  •  
  • Remove any previous installation of Phantasm CS, VectorScribe or   ColliderScribe via Windows’ Control Panel > Remove Programs (XP) or   via Windows’ Control Panel > Programs and Features (Vista and above)
  •  
  • Run the installer and follow the instructions
  •  
  • Start Illustrator
